BFI-funded organisation All Set West, in partnership with Super Culture, is bringing an evening of film, conversation, and industry insight to the Front Room Theatre, Weston-Super-Mare. The event will spotlight emerging talent across the West of England’s screen sector while showcasing progression routes for those aspiring to enter the industry.
Opening the evening is a special screening of True Love and Wormholes, a BBC Writers-backed short film. The screening will be followed by a panel of industry experts exploring a wide range of topics including filming on location, developing creative careers, and the growing opportunities available within the region’s screen industries.
As part of the event, attendees will also hear about Dirigo, the 12th International Student Film Festival, which this year includes Photography Awards for the first time! Directed and produced by students on the Film & Media Arts Production course at UCW, Dirigo showcases innovative work from emerging filmmakers around the world. Early bird submissions for this year’s festival open are open now!
This event forms part of the Art, Film, Game and Graphic Design Careers Excellence Hub. At University Centre Weston our approach goes beyond the traditional classroom setting.
