Today we’re catching up with Patricia, to hear about her time at UCW!
One of the best parts of Patricia’s time at UCW as a first year was the first time she stepped into her classes and met everyone; “it made the learning experience way easier, knowing I had the support of my peers and the team.”
Patricia also had positive words to say about the employer experiences: “The trips within my course have helped me to understand how the industry works and helped me to develop key skills to use within the industry.” These trips form part of the Business, Accounting and Operations Careers Excellence Hub. At University Centre Weston our approach goes beyond the traditional classroom setting. Through industry speakers, workshops, employer projects, and more, we equip our learners with the real-world experiences and insights that set them apart in the competitive job market. It’s not just about getting a job; it’s about standing out from the crowd when they embark on their job searches.
Patricia’s time at UCW has helped her understand how to formally format a piece of work and improve her writing skills. Her career plans after my time at UCW are to either go into postgraduate education for the subject or to get a job within the HR department of a business.
