Careers Coaching
Employability is at the heart of what we do at UCW.
Studying at UCW gives you more than just a qualification, employment support and professional skill development are built in throughout your program of study to help you maximise your future career plans.
As a UCW student, you’ll benefit from our dedicated Careers Coaching service. This service supports students in progressing into employment, self-employment, or further study, with a strong focus on helping you build a career doing what you love.
Our Higher Education Careers & Employability Coordinator is on hand to:
- Provide up-to-date, relevant, careers information through our suite of UCW Careers Coaching resources on SharePoint.
- Deliver tailored classroom-based sessions on a range of common career-related topics, such as job searching, CV writing, applications and more.
- Offer bespoke careers information, advice and guidance to all students through bookable 1-2-1 appointments with our fully qualified careers and employability coordinator.
- Support with in-work progression and next steps for Apprentice learners through classroom-based sessions and flexible 1-2-1 appointments.
- Provide ongoing careers support, if needed, for up to two years after you graduate.
In addition, you’ll be invited to take part in activities related to events such as UCW’s National Careers Week, Graduate Focus Week and Weston College’s CareersFest employer fair.
