Siouxsie is a British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists registered therapist. She maintains a small therapy practice, working mostly with queer individuals and groups from rural/small-town communities, and teaches on the Bachelor of Science degree in Pluralistic Counselling at University Centre Weston.
She has a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Gloucestershire, where she is also in her final year as a doctoral candidate. Her research, 'Mapping the queer (or strange) failure to address intimate partner violence: Possibilities for practice', draws on post-structural feminist, queer and affect studies to explore/address the invisibility of IPV in queer relationships in rural/small-town communities.
Prior to training as a therapist, Siouxsie worked in social housing, including community safety roles, managing Romany/Gypsy/Traveller sites and establishing a residential service for queer survivors of IPV.
