Francis is a registered engineer with The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN and a graduate member of the institution of civil engineers, ICE. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, FHEA.
Francis has been involved with civil engineering practice in Nigeria before moving to the UK and currently keeps in touch with the built environment industry. In the recent past, he completed Education Trust Fund (ETF)-funded industry exposures at Skanska-Costain-Strabag joint Venture (SCS JV) which is delivering the HS2 Main Civil Contracts in the midlands and with a South-West England twin-company, Morgan Structural Limited and Avocets Civil Limited.
Francis has an avid interest in digital technologies, sustainability and 'greener' infrastructures, mathematical modelling and data analytics in civil engineering and is currently researching the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in blue green infrastructures.
He has some academic publications to his credit.
