I’ve been teaching now for the best part of 14 years across a range of institutions and levels, having taught most construction related subjects at some point.
My passion is around design and planning projects, and I particularly love teaching the detailing and specification units, management units and legal and statutory responsibilities units. I know they are not everyone’s cup of tea, but for me these are the core fundamentals that underpin any construction project, and without them the project won’t run smoothly.
Other than cutting edge design, I’m especially interested in large infrastructure projects, and am fortunate that we have Hinkley Point C, Gravity science park, HS2 etc all on our doorstep.
Outside of teaching I love cooking (you’ll often get food related analogies in my lectures!) and drumming with my band.
