Helen Bradford delivering guest lecture to Early Years degree students

Guest Lecturer, Dr Helen Bradford, Inspires Early Years Students

15/12/2022

Last week our BA (Hons) Early Years Education students got the opportunity to listen to an amazing talk from industry-professional guest lecturer, Dr Helen Bradford.

Dr Helen Bradford is an independent early years consultant. According to the British Association for Early Childhood Education, “she has garnered extensive experience through her roles as an early years teacher, early years teacher trainer, as an academic leading and teaching early years and literacy Masters degrees, and now, independent consultant. Her specialist area of expertise is children’s language and literacy development from birth.

Dr Bradford gave an engaging talk on conceptualising children’s writing, which our students found incredibly interesting and useful within the context of their own practice.

Students were also encouraged to participate and talk about their own experience in different early years settings.

Thank you Dr Helen Bradford!
