Campuses and facilities

We have been offering high quality degrees since 1993, during which time we've continued to broaden the choice of programmes we offer, partnering with three major Universities in the South West of England.

We have also invested tens of millions of pounds in the fantastic facilities across our campuses to create a modern, welcoming and specialist learning environment for our students.

Winter Gardens

We have spent millions of pounds to create a new University Centre in Weston’s iconic Winter Gardens Pavilion on the town’s seafront. It is a few minutes’ walk from our main Knightstone building on the recently-redeveloped Italian Gardens. Many of our support staff are based in the new part of the building and we encourage all of our students to take advantage of everything the Winter Gardens has to offer, which includes classrooms, group and individual study areas and a bistro and coffee shop. We also use the building’s famous ballroom for lots of events throughout the year, including Graduation and the annual UCW Awards where we celebrate all of our students’ successes.

Knightstone Campus

The University Centre across two floors in the Weston College Group’s Knightstone building has new laboratory and studio facilities, a group study area, a common room and classrooms. Knightstone is home to the UCW Academy of Performing Arts, which has rehearsal and performance spaces, dance studios, a contextual studies classroom and a student green room. The building also has a health and fitness suite and other sports facilities including a multi-use 3G pitch, a bistro and coffee shops.

Loxton Campus

Loxton Campus is a short drive from the centre of Weston and a short walk from the beach. It is the base for our art, design, media and music degrees, and boasts all of the rehearsal, performance and exhibition spaces to be expected from a facility dedicated to the creative arts. The campus has recording studios, art and design studios, a photography studio, editing suites, darkrooms, a bistro and a coffee shop.

As well as industry-standard equipment, it has sport facilities, a bistro and a coffee shop. The campus is close to Weston Milton railway station and the M5 motorway.

Health and Active Living Skills Centre

This state-of-the-art facility at Loxton Campus is the first of its kind in the region. It has a simulation hospital ward with medical mannequins, and the sport facilities include 3G and grass football pitches with spectator areas, a multi-use sports hall and a gym.
