Learners studying on our BA (Hons) Early Years Education degree and BA (Hons) Education, Society and Childhood degree enjoyed a wonderful event, showcasing their end of year projects to friends and family.
The displays were impressive, featuring many elements of what each student had learned while at UCW. Each display was personal and unique to the learner showing it off.
One student created a tree with their work hanging from it, another created a chest of drawers – each containing intricately detailed aspects of their time on the course.

Another student reflected on becoming the practitioner they wanted to be by incorporating a mirror across their project.

Almost as tall as the student themself, there was a full-size dolls house with each carefully created piece of furniture and decoration reflecting an element of their learning!

This lovely event forms part of the Early Years and Education Careers Excellence Hub. University Centre Weston’s Career Excellence Hubs are designed to be the launching pad for our learners’ careers. In a world where connections and relevant skills matter more than ever, these hubs offer a holistic approach that prepares learners to thrive in their chosen industries. With the support of these hubs, our learners are well-equipped to make a significant impact in their professional journeys.
As we celebrate ten years of UCW in 2026, we want to look back at the thousands of students and alumni from the beginning through to the present. We are so proud of our alumni, with many going onto incredible jobs, both in the local community and around the world!
