UCAS Applications
Have your information ready – Gather the details you’ll need before you start, including your qualifications, grades, dates of study and any employment or volunteering experience. It’ll make filling out your application much easier.
Get help if you’re not sure – starting a UCAS application can be daunting, but there’s no need to worry! If you’re applying to UCW, we’re here to support you with any questions you might have, and we’ll be able to guide you through the process at our October Open Day! You can sign up here!
Get started early – Start exploring courses and getting your application ready early so that you’re not leaving anything too long, resulting in a last-minute rush later on. If there is anything you want to check with us just before the UCAS equal consideration deadline – we will be hosting our January Open Evening to help with last-minute questions and applications!
Personal Statements
Show don’t tell – Explain why you want to study at UCW, give examples of what you’ve studied, read, experienced or done that sparked your interest in your course.
Use your experiences as a guide – Think about relevant work experience, college projects, volunteering and hobbies. Explain what you learnt from them and how they have prepared you for your course.
Don’t use AI – Your personal statement should be your own work, in your own words. We want to hear your genuine experiences, interests and motivations, so don’t use AI to write it for you.
