Students at University Centre Weston recently took a well-earned break from their studies during a “Cake and Make” event, designed to help everyone unwind, get creative, and connect with fellow students and staff.
The event brought together students from across UCW for an afternoon filled with conversation, creativity, and plenty of sweet treats. Attendees enjoyed a selection of delicious cakes and bakes, including muffins, teacakes, hot cross buns, cupcakes, and freshly baked scones, all while catching up with friends and meeting new people in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Alongside the tasty refreshments, students had the chance to get involved in a variety of arts and crafts activities. From creating colourful pipe cleaner snails to decorating personalised keychains and coasters, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The event gave students an opportunity to take a break from coursework, express their creativity, and spend quality time with the UCW community.
Cake and Make was a fantastic way to bring students together and promote wellbeing, creativity, and connection across the university centre.
