Lauren teaches on UCW’s Early Years and Education, Society & Childhood degree courses. Lauren graduated from Bath Spa University with an Honours degree in Early Years Education and holds a postgraduate teaching qualification in Higher Education.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is currently studying for a Masters qualification in Education. Lauren has a background in teaching early years education as a childminder and worked as a lead practitioner for the local authority mentoring students and practitioners. Lauren believes in the importance of a child-centre approach to education, one that is committed to learning through play. Her areas of academic interest include the development of playful pedagogies and reflective processes in education.
