Your graduation day is a special opportunity to celebrate everything you have achieved during your time at University Centre Weston.
To help your day run smoothly, we’ve put together a full schedule covering registration and gowning, photography, guest arrival, the student procession, your graduation ceremony and the celebrations afterwards.
Please read the timings carefully and make sure you and your guests know where you need to be and when. There are some important deadlines throughout the day, so arriving on time will help ensure you don’t miss any part of your graduation experience.
Please see below for registration and gowning times to ensure you arrive at the correct time and place.

Gowns must be returned to Edes Ravencroft by 18:15.
Please ensure your guests are fully aware of the timings below. Guests who are not seated by the specified time may be refused entry.
Guest tickets are available to collect from reception once you have signed in.

The Winter Gardens Pavilion will first be opened to guests with accessibility requirements. If any of your guests require early access, please contact graduation@ucw.ac.uk

The Winter Gardens Pavilion will be open to all guests. Please ensure that guests have their tickets as these will be checked upon entry. Guests will then be seated in the Winter Gardens ballroom by staff.

If you have prebooked photos with Ede and Ravenscroft, the photo studio will be open all day. We advise that you head to the photo studio once have registered and gowned (Between 13:30 and 14:25). Depending on availability, some packages may be able to be purchased on the day. |

Congregation in preparation for procession The Programme Coordinator for your course will be here to meet you; you will need to get into alphabetical order by surname and remain in this order until after the ceremony. |

Procession Students will process in alphabetical order by surname. This will take up to 10mins (approx.). Please remember to wear comfortable shoes. |

Ceremony begins When it is your course’s turn to graduate, you will be invited by a member of staff to queue in order at the side of the room. When your name is called you will walk across the stage, collect your scroll, and return to your seat (Staff will be there to guide you back) |

Drinks reception You are invited to join us at our Conference Centre for a drink's reception where you will be able to reunite and celebrate with your friends and family and enjoy a celebratory toast with plenty of opportunities for some photos! |

Following the ceremony, you and your guests are invited to a celebratory drink's reception in the Conference Centre from 16:15 to 17:15. Please ensure you keep your tickets with you, as they will be checked upon arrival.
The Conference Centre is approximately a 5-minute walk from the venue. Please take care when travelling between locations.

The drinks reception will be held across two floors. If you or any of your guests have accessibility requirements, please make a member of staff aware and you will be directed to the ground-floor reception area.
Please note that the drinks reception will close promptly at 17:30pm, and guests will be asked to leave the venue at that time.
