The BSc (Hons) Software Development takes you from first principles to honours-level engineering. The first two years give you the programming, design and professional practice of the FdSc, and the final year stretches you into artificial intelligence, working in a team, connected devices and the research skills that keep an engineer learning as the field moves on.
On this programme you will cover: programming, web and database development, object-oriented design, data science and the hands-on AI work where you build, train and test your own models. The final year takes artificial intelligence further with a specialist module, alongside delivering a substantial software project as part of a team using proper version control and testing, building IoT systems end to end, and researching the technologies reshaping software. The AI module is shared with our degree apprentices and shaped by what the industry is doing right now, so what you learn is current. You graduate with a full Honours degree from UWE Bristol and a portfolio that shows what you can do.
Awarded by UWE Bristol, taught at University Centre Weston
