You’ll get the skills you need to manage the people, funding and time spent on a project. You’ll learn to lead or act as part of a team progressing project issues from initiation through to completion and develop the knowledge and competencies you need progress into more senior roles. You will learn essential skills to start a successful career in Project Management.

The programme includes a combination of on-the-job training and academic coursework that teaches the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours to develop as a project professional in your chosen sector. Together with the acquisition of the Association of Project Management (APM) industry acknowledged Project Management Qualification (PMQ).

The programme maps directly onto the knowledge, skills and behaviours identified in this apprenticeship standard and is also designed to cover the entirety of the Association for Project Management’s (APM) Body of Knowledge. Recent (APM) research identifies that there will be a need for an additional 25 million project professional globally by 2030.

It will prepare apprentices to understand and apply knowledge, skills and behaviours to the strategic and financial management of projects. Leading cross-functional teams and deliver projects that meet their targets. By the end of the degree, apprentices will be adept at understanding the needs of customers and developing strong stakeholder relationships whilst demonstrating strong, ethical practice.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants can be existing employees or new recruits who must be:

• 18 or older 
• Have the right of abode and right to work in the UK to qualify for funding
• Meet course entry requirements 

Entry criteria for degree level courses is Three A Levels at grade C or above, preferably in related subjects such as Maths, Science and IT, T Level Pass (C or above on the core) or a BTEC Extended Diploma at MMM, or a T Level at Pass, or equivalent, in addition to Level 2 English and Maths at 4/C or above. Places on Degree Apprenticeships are decided upon by the employer, with each company having its own recruitment, application and selection processes.

Apprentices require a Level 2 (or equivalent e.g., GCSE A-C or 9-4) in English and maths.
