We’ve planned a wide range of activities, from Laser Quest and an exciting Mario Kart night to the UCW Big Quiz and more! Come along to meet fellow students, reconnect with friends, and try something new. Feeling a little nervous? Don’t worry—our current students and staff will be there to give you a warm welcome. Welcome and Games Night at The Stable Games Room: Monday 7th of September, 18:00 – 20:00. The Stable Games Room BS23 1HN.
Join us for a friendly welcome night where you can meet fellow students and start making new connections. Enjoy a range of fun games in a relaxed setting—perfect for breaking the ice and settling into uni life.
Mario Kart and Games Night at WG Open Zone: Wednesday 9th of September, 17:00 – 19:30 . Winter Gardens Open Zone.
Join your fellow students and the HEART Team for an evening of Mario Kart and games. Do you have what it takes to claim victory—or will you be the one launching the blue shell at just the right moment?
UCW Big Quiz at Allstars Bar: Thursday 10th of September, 18:30 – 21:30. Allstars BS23 1SQ.
Entry is £5 per person (cash only) and a cash prize. Your entry also includes a chance to win in our prize raffle, with a variety of mystery prizes up for grabs. Enjoy a fun general knowledge quiz hosted by UCW staff and students, and once the quiz wraps up, you can take the mic and enjoy some karaoke!
Laser Quest: Friday 11th of September, 17:30 – 19:00. The Activity Dome BS23 1QF.
Get ready for some high-energy fun at our Laser Quest event! It’s the perfect chance to dive into an exciting, action-packed experience while meeting new people and bonding with fellow students. Whether you’re super competitive or just want to give something new a try, Laser Quest is a great way to break the ice and have a laugh. Come along with friends or on your own—you’ll be sure to leave having made new connections and great memories!
Cake and Chat: 14th, 16th and 18th of September, 12:30 – 13:30
Come along to meet members of our student support teams, including the HEART Team and Academic Development Team, for a slice of cake and a friendly chat. It’s a great chance to get to know the people who are here to support you and learn how they can help you succeed during your time at UCW.
