Level 4

Within this short course you will focus on safeguarding as a fundamental aspect of supporting young children’s safety and well-being within early years settings, support services and their home environment.

You will examine the theory, policy and legislation that underpins how we keep children safe and make links to practice to develop a broader understanding of safeguarding.

Multi-agency working is examined to develop your awareness of how agencies work together to support best outcomes for children and families. Within this you will identify barriers and limitations to effective partnership working and how these can be potentially overcome to ensure the needs of children and families are met.

Funding of short courses:

All of our courses cost £2,900 but have a variety of flexible funding options available to them. There are also some discounts available to partner organisations or those sending more than one employee.

You employer / organisational may be able to part or fully fund your place via their staff development budget, alternatively you could take out a Student Loan, which does not need to be repaid until after you have completed your studies and are earning.  Taking out a loan would not impact on your eligibility to access further funding to undertake a degree in the future.

If you have any questions or would like further information regarding funding, please contact us at finance@ucw.ac.uk
