Keeping New Year’s Resolutions With UCW

06/01/2016

New Year’s resolutions for 2016 could be easier to keep for those who enrol on an adult education course, according to the Principal and Chief Executive of Weston College.

Dr Paul Phillips said that for many people the most effective way of changing their lives or achieving a particular ambition was to find an appropriate course of study.

“Our focus at the College is on creating brighter futures, and we constantly see the difference that enrolling on a part-time course can make to people,” he said.

“Whether they want to move ahead in their existing jobs or want to take a different career direction, taking a course can be invaluable because of the support they receive, the knowledge they obtain, and the qualifications that they gain.

“Taking a course can also be hugely beneficial for anyone who wants to develop a hobby or interest, or embark upon a new one.”

An open evening will be held on Wednesday January 13 from 5pm at Weston College which has been rated ‘Outstanding by Ofsted and was named College of the Year and Overall FE Provider of the Year at the 2015 TES Awards.

Information will be available about courses including A Levels, work-related qualifications, diplomas, apprenticeships, Higher Education courses, and leisure courses; plus financial support and loans to support your study.

Part-time leisure courses include: digital photography; media make-up; nail technology; personal training; door supervision; book keeping; access to study; counselling and confidence building.
