AT A GLANCE

Events management encapsulates the disciplines of planning, management, marketing and human resources, so this course has been designed with employers to provide the knowledge and work-based practice you’ll need to be successful in this dynamic business sector.

From the world famous Glstonbury Festival and illuminating Winter Carnivals to smaller shows, fairs and conferences, the South West’s year-round programme of exciting events provide great employment opportunities and wider economic benefits for the whole region.

This course has been developed in response to this, meaning you’ll be able to take advantage of UCW’s links with festivals and organisations in the events sector and encouraged to undertake a relevant work experience placement.

The programme combines hands-on, practical learning with studies in the business rationale behind the staging of successful events, and also provides the enhanced research skills students will need for further study.
