Campuses & facilities
University Centre Knightstone
The fifth and sixth floors of the town centre Knightstone Campus are exclusively for UCW students. The University Centre across the two floors has computer suites, open group study spaces, social areas and bookable classrooms.
Knightstone is also home to the recently-refurbished Wessex Academy of Performing Arts, which has state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance rooms, dance studios with fully-sprung floors, and a common room and study space that can only be used by degree students.
The Health and Fitness suite, located on the seventh floor, boasts cardiovascular, resistance and free-weight equipment. Membership is free to UCW students. Just across the road from Knightstone are multi-use 3G sports pitches.
The Bistro serves breakfast and lunch, and the Campus also has a Costa Coffee shop. Knightstone Campus is also home to The Grove – a stylish restaurant that offers high-quality, low-cost food, served by hospitality students.
Our University Campus on Loxton Road, near Weston’s hospital, opened in 2007 and was extended in 2014.
It is the base for most of UCW’s Creative Arts programmes and has recording studios, darkrooms for photography and flexible learning and performance spaces. It also has a TV studio and most of UCW’s media equipment.
University Campus also has computer facilities, the Bath Spa University Gallery and its own sports pitch.
The Loxton Refectory serves breakfast and lunch and is also a great place to relax or catch up with friends. There is also a Costa Coffee shop on the ground floor of University Campus.
South West Skills Campus
From September 2017, UCW’s Aerospace, Engineering and Construction programmes will be based at the South West Skills Campus near Weston Milton railway station.
The Campus has undergone a multi-million pound redevelopment in recent years and is comprised of the Weston College Group’s Automotive Technology Centre, Business Enterprise Centre, Construction and Engineering Centre of Excellence, Eco House and Future Technology Centre.
The site also features its own sports pitch, refectory and grassy areas for use during summer months.
